Officers Thwart Methamphetamine Smuggling To Jembrana State Detention Center
JEMBRANA - Officers from the State Detention Center (Rutan) Class II B Negara together with the Jembrana Police Narcotics Investigation Unit, Bali, thwarted the smuggling of methamphetamine into the detention center.
"We received a report from the detention center that there were visitors who brought suspicious packages. Together we opened the package, it turned out that it contained methamphetamine," said Jembrana Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner of Police Endang Tri Purwanto as reported by ANTARA, Monday, March 25.
The police chief said the methamphetamine was brought by ISW (39) which is located at Ketapang Muara Hamlet, Pengambengan Village, Negara District, by pretending to deliver clothes to an inmate on Friday (22/3).
From the package hidden in the folded clothes, officers found three plastics containing methamphetamine weighing a total of 300.01 grams.
"This is the disclosure of methamphetamine with the largest evidence in Jembrana," said Tri.
After arresting ISW, the Jembrana Police then developed this case by arresting the person who gave the prohibited items to ISW.
