The Elected Guns N Roses Debut Album For This Year's Grammy Hall Of Fame
JAKARTA - Recording Academy in celebration of its 50-year journey this year has again set several recordings that will be included in the Grammy Hall of Fame.
A total of ten recordings were inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. There are four albums and six singles that Grammys say have shown qualitative or historical significance, and are at least 25 years old
Guns N Roses debut album, Appetite for Destruction, is one of the recorded to be inaugurated. This album contains many of their hits, such as Sweet Child o Mine, Welcome to the Jungle, and Paradise City.
In addition, Donna Summer's I Feel Love and Wanda Jackson's Let's Have a Party are among the albums and singles that entered the Grammy Hall of Fame this year.
Seven other recordings were also inaugurated including The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill from Lauryn Hill, Buena Vista Social Club's self-titled album, 3 Feet High and Rising from De La Soul, Kiss an Angel Good Borne fromulant Pride, Ory's Creole Trombone from the Kreol Kid Ory Orchestra, What a Pool Believes from Doobie Brothers, and William Bell's You Don't Miss Your Water.

"We are proud to reveal various recordings entering the GRAMMY Hall Of Fame in the 50th year," said Harvey Mason Jr. as CEO of Recording Academy, citing The Independent, Monday, March 25.
The music shown here has played an important role in shaping our cultural landscape, and it is an honor to recognize this album and record, as well as the great influence of each of these albums and recordings on music and other things," he continued.
"The artists, songwriters, producers and engineers who compiled the recordings inaugurated this year are a reflection of their talents and hard work to create very important music," said Michael Sticka, President/CEO of the GRAMMY Museum on the other hand.
For information, the ten selected records will be the Grammy Museum catalog, and the inaugural Grammy Hall Of Fame Gala celebrations at the Grammy Museum and concerts will take place at the NOVO Theater, Los Angeles on May 21.
