GWM Tank 400 Hi4-T 2024 Given Machine Improvement, Price More Expensive
JAKARTA - The Great Wall Motor, a manufacturer from China, continues to innovate in the local market by introducing several improvements to the latest version of the PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) Tank 400 Hi4-T for the 2024 model.
Reporting from CarNewsChina, Monday, March 25, the main change lies in the new engine of the Great Wall Motor E20NB which replaced the previous engine, namely E20NA. This new machine uses Miller's cycle to increase thermal efficiency.
The power generated from the machine reaches 185 kW with a peak torque of 380 Nm. Thanks to this increase, fuel savings decreased to 8.8 liters per 100 km from the previous 9.52 liters per 100 km in the 2023 version, with a combined consumption in WLTC calculations of 2.06 liters per 100 km.
In addition, the E20NB engine is paired with a hybrid transmission of 9 accelerations that regulate the distribution of power. The electric motor installed at the front produces 120 kW of power with a torque of 400 Nm, creating a combined system with 300 kW of power and 750 Nm of torque.
GWM Tank 400 Hi4-T is a PHEV that uses a 37.1 kWh battery and a 2.0T engine that is able to move wheels as well as act as a generator, and this increase does not change its basic configuration.
In terms of appearance, there are no significant changes, with the availability of off-road versions and city versions. Off-road versions are valued at around 285,800 yuan or around Rp. 626 million, while city versions reach 289,800 yuan (around Rp. 635 million), more expensive than the previous version. The off-road version is equipped with an all-wheel drive system to improve performance outdoors, with a minimum altitude of 224 mm and a immersion depth of 800 mm.
