JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) noted that 30 RTs in South Jakarta and East Jakarta were flooded up to 2 meters at 10.00 WIB. Floods occurred after rains that hit parts of Jakarta and buffer areas.

"BPBD noted that the current inundation has increased from 28 RTs to 30 RTs or 0.098 percent of the 30.772 RTs in the DKI Jakarta area," said Head of BPBD DKI Jakarta Isnawa Adji in his statement, Monday, March 25.

Floods this morning submerged the area in the Ciliwung River dekar. The Ciliwung River overflowed into the waega settlements due to rain and water shipments from the buffer zone.

This morning, a number of floodgates experienced an increase in status. The status of the Manggarai Sluice Gate and Pesanggrahan Post since 06.00 WIB has become Alert 3 (Alert).

The following is the flood point as of 10.00 WIB: South Jakarta:- Rawa Jati Village Sumlah Village: 3 RT Ketinggian: 30 cm

In addition, there was a flood at the HEK intersection on Jalan Raya Bogor, between Kramat Jati and Ciracas sub-districts, East Jakarta. BPBD noted that flooding at the HEK intersection had occurred again due to broken sheet piles because the water debiting in the river was very heavy.

As of 06.25 WIB, the floods at the HEK intersection had a water level of 30 centimeters. After handling it, the floods at the HEK intersection had receded.

BPBD DKI Jakarta mobilizes personnel to monitor inundation conditions in each region and coordinate elements of the Natural Resources Service, Highways Office, Gulkarmat Service to carry out inundation suction and ensure that the water lines function properly together with the local village heads and sub-district heads.

"The inundation is targeted to recede in a short time. BPBD DKI urges the public to remain careful and alert to potential inundation," said Isnawa.
