PPP Said About The Opportunity To Join The Prabowo-Gibran Coalition

JAKARTA - The United Development Party (PPP) is said to have the opportunity to join the coalition of winning pairs of the 2024 presidential election, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka. The opportunity arose after the news that Prabowo and Gerindra would visit PPP in the near future. Responding to the issue, the chairman of the PPP DPP Achmad Baidowi or Awiek said his party opened the door for Prabowo and Gerindra to visit their party headquarters. However, Awiek said, until now there has been no party decision regarding the direction of support after the 2024 presidential election.

"There has been no decision yet," said Awiek, Monday, March 25. Awiek said that decisions regarding the direction of the party after the 2024 presidential election will be made at the PPP Rapimnas. Moreover, he said, his party is currently still part of the coalition supporting Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD and is currently dealing with election disputes at the Constitutional Court (MK).

"We are still focused on guarding the lawsuit at the Constitutional Court," explained the East Java electoral district legislator.

Even so, Awiek admitted that PPP was honored if Prabowo wanted to stay in touch with the Ka'bah Party office.

"Of course we are very welcome and very honored," said Awiek. Previously, President-elect Prabowo Subianto met with the General Chairperson of Surya Paloh at NasDem Tower, Friday, March 22.
