Mental Disorder, Use A Machete For Aunt's Nephew In East Manggarai
The Lamba Leda Utara Police, East Manggarai Police detained the perpetrators of the persecution that resulted in the death of the victim in Wae Tua, Golo Mangung Village, Lamba Leda Utara District, East Manggarai Regency, Sunday, March 24. The persecution that resulted in the death toll was carried out by FA (29) against the victim LL (60).
After being traced, it turned out that the victim and the perpetrator still had a very close family relationship. The victim is the biological aunt of the perpetrator.
East Manggarai Police Chief AKBP Suryanto, through the Head of Pidum Ipda Farrell Leondy explained that the information was first known on the report of the village head of Golo Mangung.
"Today, Sunday, March 24, 2024, at around 11.00 WITA, the Lamba Leda Utara Police received information from the village head of Golo Mangung that, there had been a criminal act of murder committed by the perpetrators of the FA against the victim LL in the village of Wae Tua, Golo Mangung Village, Lamba Leda Utara District, East Manggarai Regency," he said.
He explained it by the Police Chief. based on the testimony of witness FN (43), when he returned home to collect water in the river, the witness saw the victim who was lying next to the kitchen on his stomach and bleeding a lot. Surprised, the witness then screamed for help from local residents.
When he found the victim lying beside the kitchen, the witness did not see the perpetrator around the crime scene. So then the witness immediately informed the incident to the residents. The victim died when he was picked up by residents.
Residents of Wae Paci village then immediately searched for the whereabouts of the perpetrators and perpetrators were found next to the Old Wae Setation Church.
"When found, the perpetrator was standing and holding a machete which he allegedly used when killing the victim," he said.

The perpetrator had fought back when he was about to be arrested by residents. The perpetrators were then successfully secured by residents of Wae Tua village under the control of the village head of Golo Mangung and secured the perpetrator by tying his feet and hands with a nylon rope. The perpetrator and the evidence were then secured at the North Lamba Leda Police Headquarters.
The North Lamda Police then brought in officers from the Dampek Health Center to give a sedative injection to the perpetrator. The perpetrator turned out to be a person with a mental disorder (ODGJ) who was registered and under the supervision of the Dampek Health Center since 2020. The perpetrator has also killed his younger brother in January 2024.
