France Is Optimistic To Rise After Losing Embarrassing Against Germany

JAKARTA - France is optimistic and must rise after an embarrassing defeat against Germany. In a trial match at home at the Groupama Stadium, Sunday, March 24, 2024 in the morning, western Indonesia time, France was forced to surrender 2-0.

France not only lost in front of its supporters. Gawang Les Bleus also conceded when the game had only been running for seven seconds.

There was not even a French player who touched the ball when Florian Wirtz who received a good pass from Toni Kroos then took him to the opponent's defense area.

Even goalkeeper Brice Samba did not catch the ball that slid into his goal through Wirtz's hard kick from outside the penalty box.

Furthermore, Germany strengthened its advantage through Kai Havertz. The goal of the Arsenal player was created in the early minutes of the second half.

French midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni admits that the team lost everything against Germany who played very well. Moreover, they cannot carry out the strategy that has been prepared by coach Didier Deschamps.

"We really lost everything. We can't run the game according to plan," said Tchouameni.

"In this match, we face a big team. So, we have to play better, individually and collectively," said the Real Madrid midfielder.

Tchouameni, further, said that this defeat was a valuable lesson for the players. Moreover, Kylian Mbappe et al are preparing to compete at Euro 2024. "This is like a call to wake up. We don't need to overreact. We remain confident in our quality," he said.

On the other hand, striker Olivier Giroud said he had no word of apology for France's embarrassing defeat. They even played very badly since the first minute. In addition, players fail to convert every opportunity they get.

"We started the game very badly. They made us unable to do anything. We were also late in responding and were unable to score goals," said Giroud.

The AC Milan striker assessed that Germany was very solid in midfield. This is what makes it difficult for France to face Germany.

"In the middle, they have players who are able to balance. This reminds us to focus from the first minute and for 90 minutes of the match," he said.

France will play their next test match against Cile. France again hosted by holding a match at the Velodrome Stadium, Wednesday, March 27, 2024 in the morning WIB
