Police Arrest Syndicate Of Thieves In Car Glass Breaking Mode In Palangka Raya
PALANGKA RAYA - Palangka Raya Police, Central Kalimantan, arrested two perpetrators of theft with the mode of breaking car windows which has recently disturbed the local community.
"Alhamdulillah, with the help of the residents, we managed to secure the two perpetrators," said Palangka Raya Police Chief Kombes Budi Santosa as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, March 22.
The two perpetrators had the initials M, who is a resident of Semarang City, and H, who is a resident of Wonosobo Regency, Central Java Province.
Both were secured by residents, when they were about to break the car window, on Jalan Arjuna, Palangka Village, Jekan Raya District, Palangka Raya City, on Wednesday (20/3).
"Residents who were furious finally judged the two perpetrators until finally both of them suffered serious injuries," he said.
Luckily, when the two perpetrators were beaten by residents, Palangka Raya Police personnel who were conducting patrols passed through the location and saw a commotion.
When questioned, it turned out that the perpetrator was bowing full of wounds by the residents. To avoid the tantrums of the residents who were getting worse, the two perpetrators were secured to the Palangka Raya Police Headquarters.
"When he arrived at the Palangka Raya Police Headquarters, the condition of perpetrator H was decreasing so that the perpetrator was taken to the hospital," he said.
But unfortunately, continued Budi, the lives of the perpetrators could not be helped and the perpetrator died while on the way to Bhayangkara Hospital Level III Palangka Raya.
As a result of the absence of a complete identity, perpetrator H was finally buried in Palangka Raya City. Meanwhile, another perpetrator, namely M, is currently being treated at the Bhayangkara Level III Hospital in Palangka Raya.
"Because the condition of the perpetrators is getting worse, we finally treated him to the hospital," he said.

Based on the perpetrator M's confession, the two of them carried out the theft in three locations, namely two actions on Jalan Seth Adji, Panarung Village, Pahandut District, Palangka Raya City, and Jalan G Obos, Menteng Village, Jekan Raya District, Palangka Raya City.
In carrying out the action, perpetrator H was in charge of riding the perpetrator M and stalking the victims. After getting the target, perpetrator M took on his role as the executor, while H was in charge of waiting on the motorbike.
"To break the glass of the victim's car, perpetrator M used a special glass breaking device and took the victim's belongings," he said.
Of the three locations, the total loss of the victim reached Rp. 17 million. The perpetrator admitted to carrying out the action due to economic factors.
