The Opsnal Team of Sub-Directorate I of the Narcotics Directorate of the South Kalimantan Police led by Head of Sub-Directorate I Adjunct Senior Commissioner of Police Eddi Daniel Siregar conducted a search by observing the house on Jalan Masjid Jami, Malkon Temon complex, Banjarmasin City, which is suspected of being a place for methamphetamine production.
Then on Thursday (21/3) night, officers carried out raids and found evidence of equipment and raw materials for making methamphetamine, including several jerry cans containing absolute solvent, toluene, acetone, and methanol, a jar containing fire soda, a thermometer and a mini electric stove.
From the confession of the perpetrator with the initials NS, he had conducted an experiment once, but failed even though he had produced several milliliters from the distillation.
Then when trying to conduct a second production attempt, NS was arrested by the police who had sniffed out his action of wanting to produce methamphetamine.
"Alhamdulillah, we succeeded in thwarting the suspect's efforts because if it produces, the threat is very large for the massive circulation of methamphetamine," explained Kelana.
