Hanura: People Don't Want To Be Fooled, Fooled As If The Election Is Over

JAKARTA - Hanura Party Secretary General Benny Ramdhani asked the public not to just believe that the election narrative was over. This is because the process in the form of filing a lawsuit against the results of the 2024 presidential election is still ongoing.

"People don't want to be deceived, fooled, as if the framing they are doing we justify that the election is over," said Benny at a press conference at the TPN Media Center Ganjar-Mahfud, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Thursday, March 21.

Moreover, there was no statement by KPU Chairman Hasyim Asy'ari stating that the pair number two, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, was the elected candidate. Benny said the agency only read the recapitulation of vote counting nationally.

"Last night's KPU, there was no written report or statement from the KPU chairman on behalf of the pair of elected presidential and vice presidential candidates," he said.

"They only conveyed the final results of the national recapitulation of the votes acquired by presidential and vice presidential candidates as well as the votes acquired by political parties," he continued.

Benny said that the election stage could only be said to be completed after the inauguration was carried out. "So people don't want to be deceived by this narrative, this framing," said the Head of BP2MI.

Previously reported, the KPU officially appointed Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabumimg Raka as the winners of the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).

The pair number two had the highest votes of 96,214,691 votes. The decision was announced at the Open Pleno Meeting at the KPU Office, Menteng, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 20.

Meanwhile, candidate pair number one, Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskadar got 40,971,926 votes. While pair number three, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD only received 27,041,878 votes.
