Jasa Marga Projects Revenue To Rise Ahead Of The 2024 Eid Holiday

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) projects an increase in revenue from the surge in toll road traffic ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijri/2024 homecoming.

JSMR Corporate Communication and Community Development Group Head Lisye Octaviana said the increase in revenue and traffic would occur even though the amount could not be projected.

"In terms of traffic volume itself, right, there is indeed an increase, yes. Of course, in terms of toll revenue, we will (we convey) during the financial reporting period," said Lisye when met at her office, Thursday, March 21.

Jasa Marga itself predicts that as many as 1.86 million vehicles will leave Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabotabek). This figure is calculated in the period of the H-7 to D+2 Eid Al-Fitr 1445 H homecoming period or during April 3 - April 11, 2024. This figure is up 54.13 percent compared to normal days and up 5.94 percent from the 2023 Eid period.

Meanwhile, the prediction of the number of vehicles entering the Jabotabek area in the H-1 backflow period to D+7 for Eid al-Fitr 1445 H (April 10 - April 18, 2024) is 1.92 million vehicles. This figure is up 60.55 percent compared to normal days and up 4.19 percent from the 2023 homecoming period.

Lisye added that the prediction of the peak of the homecoming flow falls on D-4 Eid al-Fitr or Saturday, April 6, 2024, with traffic reaching more than 250,000 vehicles at four main toll gates, namely GT Cikampek Utama, GT Kalihurip Utama, GT Ciawi and GT Cikupa.

"Of course, we can convey that there will be improvements, yes, and we hope this can support growth and also the health of the company's own performance," he added.

Just so you know, JSMR targets an increase in toll road revenue by more than 10 percent by 2023 and around 8-10 percent by 2024. It will allocate capital expenditure (capex) of IDR 10 trillion in 2024 for investment.
