Targeting, PetroChina Aims For Oil Lifting 15,100 BOPD
JAKARTA - PetroChina International Jabung Ltd. targets an increase in the performance of oil and gas production by 2024.
PetroChina Jabung Reservoir Engineering Manager Wicaksono said to pursue this target, his party carried out a number of drillings at several drilling wells throughout 2024.
According to him, drilling in several drilling wells is expected to maintain production rate and increase production as launched in the work plan and budget (WP&B) by 15,100 BOPD and 165.71 million standard cubic feet per day (MSFCD).
"Our wpnb program is for oil at 15,100 barrels of oil per day and gas at 165,71 million standard cubic feet per day (MSFCD). That's our hope," said Wicaksono to the media crew quoted on Thursday, March 21.
Wicaksono said, until December 31, 2023, the cumulative production of the Jabung Block reached 423 million barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) consisting of 97.06 million BOE oil, a condensate of 61.25 million BOE, LPG 112.37 million BOE and gas sales of 152.48 million BOE.

He also said PetroChina is targeting a number of activities including drilling 9 development wells, 23 workover or rework and 194 well care or well services. Then the drilling program for 2 exploration wells, as for 1 exploration well, started at the end of 2023 and 3D and 2D seismic acquisitions.
Wicaksono also explained that until February 2024 PetroChina had realized well rig-up activities for exploration programs at NEB Base-3 wells, development well tax in Gemah-74 and was underway in Gemah-77.
"The first drilling of development wells in 2024, namely Gemah-74 wells, has succeeded in obtaining oil hydrocarbons of 1,323 BOPD, 2.4 MMSCFD. Currently, the second drilling is being continued, namely Gemah-77 with an oil target of 200 BOPD," concluded Wicaksono.
