PDIP Is Not One Voice Regarding The Performance Assessment Of The DKI Provincial Government During A Pandemic Year
JAKARTA - Yesterday, Indonesia entered one year of being hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. The case of corona virus transmission has not ended and the PDIP faction of the DKI DPRD expressed its views regarding the handling of COVID-19 by the DKI Provincial Government for this year.
A member of the PDIP faction of the DKI DPRD who is also the Chairperson of the DKI DPRD, Prasetio Edi Marsudi, thinks that the handling of the pandemic has been good and cases are starting to decline. One factor is the current vaccination program.
"Alhamdulillah, the pandemic in Jakarta has decreased. Maybe with the vaccine. All people in Jakarta must be vaccinated. I ask the executive not to selectively choose. Just be transparent," said Prasetio on Tuesday, February 2.
In fact, Prasetio suggested other local governments to imitate the work of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan in dealing with the pandemic. According to Prasetio, DKI has massive testing, tracing, and treatment (3T) efforts.
"I ask the supporting areas for Jakarta as an example, Jakarta. If the supporters of Jakarta are not orderly, it will have an impact on Jakarta as well because many Jakarta workers live in buffer areas," he said.
This appreciation contradicts the attitude of PDIP faction member Gilbert Simanjuntak. According to Gilbert, during the pandemic year, Anies' policy was mostly polemic with the central government.
Then, Gilbert admitted that the number of testing (inspection) in Jakarta was quite high. Unfortunately, this is not accompanied by high tracing (contact tracing).
"Testing is high because there are people who can be tested repeatedly. This means that tracing is low. In fact, testing should be followed by tracing. Ideally, 33 people should be traced from one case. Meanwhile, DKI data does not reach one in three," said Gilbert.
In addition, the monitoring of health protocols is not carried out thoroughly. Gilbert said, DKI only focuses on supervision at the place of business. Meanwhile, in communities such as markets, they are no longer monitored.
Then, the health worker fatigue problem caused the crowds of vaccination recipients in one location. "This is because there is no good planning. For example, the workload with the number of vaccine recipients, resulting in exploitation of health workers," he said.
