Horror, Electric Motor WMC250EV Searches For Support To Break LSR Record
JAKARTA - The automotive industry is increasingly creating innovative electric motors. WMC250EV, an electric motorcycle made by White Motorcycle Concepts (WMC) from England, is one of the things that attracts attention.
Introduced in mid-2021, WMC250EV immediately stole the show because of its unusual design. This motorbike has a large hole extending in its body, called V-Duct.
Then for computer testing and wind tunneling (wind tunnel) shows the advantage of WMC250EV. The air resistance faced by this motor is 70 percent lower than Suzuki Hayabusa. The secret lies in V-Duct which makes airflows more efficient and increases the grip of front tires at high speed.
Not Printing A Record, WMC250EV Needs Support
Reporting from MCN, March 20, despite appearing in various exhibitions and testing the Goodwood Festival of Speed incline, WMC250EV has not broken the land speed (LSR) record it is targeting, namely an absolute land speed record or the highest speed a person achieves using a vehicle on land.
The record is currently held by Voxan Wattman, a bullet-shaped motorbike that reaches 456 km/h in November 2021. At that time, Voxan Wattman was driven by the World Champion 6 times, Max Biaggi.
WMC250EV itself has just been tested at a speed of 321 km/hour using a temporary powertrain. To break records, WMC250EV requires increased performance. The plan is for this motor to use high voltage (800-900 volts) and generate up to 250 kW of power (about 330 dk).

In addition to increasing power, WMC250EV also requires special batteries from well-known battery manufacturers. This battery must have a high discharge rate in order to channel as much energy as possible to the wheels while still paying attention to heavy restrictions.
In addition to batteries, WMC also requires qualified research & development (R&D) support. Experienced enginer data teams are needed to ensure safety when conducting high-speed testing.
WMC is optimistic that WMC250EV can exceed 402 km/hour and compete for world records. However, they need investor support to realize the dream.
Not only for batteries, these investments are also needed to support research & development that will ensure safety and maximize the potential of this motor.
