Complete The Recapitulation Of Papua And Papua Mountains, KPU Optimistic To Announce Today's Election Results

JAKARTA - The General Election Commission (KPU) has approved the results of vote acquisition in 36 provinces and Papua, as well as Mountains Papua. The KPU seeks to determine the election results to be carried out on time. It is planned that the recapitulation will begin at 10.00 WIB at the KPU RI office, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, March 20. It is known that of the 38 provinces in the country, the KPU has just completed the national recapitulation in 36 provinces. Meanwhile, 128 PPLN have completed the national recapitulation. KPU commissioner Idham Kholik said that currently the Papua KPU is finalizing an open plenary meeting to recapitulate the votes acquired by the Papua Provincial Election participants. Then, the KPU of Tolikara Regency, Papua Mountains, is also finalizing the recapitulation of vote acquisition. "Insyaallah, Wednesday morning the Papua KPU and the Papuan KPU have arrived in Jakarta. They are still in their respective working areas completing the plenary meeting," said Idham Kholik, Tuesday, March 19. Idham said that if 38 provinces have finished carrying out national recapitulation, his party will prepare the news of the KPU's event and Decision. Later, he said, the KPU's decision will summarize all types of elections.

For information, the deadline for determining the election results is March 20, 2024. In this regard, Idham Kholik is optimistic that the plenary recapitulation meeting can be completed on time. "Hopefully it will be on time so that we can still determine the election results nationally or at the national level in accordance with the time frame determined by law, which is within a maximum duration of 35 days after voting day and it coincides on March 20, 2024," he said.
