VinFast Founder Launches V-Green, Electric Vehicle Charging Station

JAKARTA - Founder and CEO of VinFast Pham Nhat Vuong launched an EV charging station facility called V-Green. It is stated that this facility will prioritize VinFast vehicles spread globally.

The 55-year-old said that his party would create a comprehensive charging network and look for partners to expand the environmentally friendly ecosystem in the main manufacturer's market.

"V-Green will immediately look for land and partners to build and expand the charging network in VinFast's main market," Vuong said.

Meanwhile in Vietnam, V-Green will operate charging and will consider expanding charging services to other electric vehicle brands after five years of operation.

It said the company invested $ 404 million in funds in the next two years to build new outlets and add to the facility network.

For 2024, VinFast targets to expand to at least 50 countries around the world. Of course this is a big breakthrough considering the company is a new player in the global auto industry since 2017.

The company also marked its debut in Indonesia through the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2024 and made the archipelago a market for its first right-wheeled electric car.

In the event, the brand introduced a number of electric vehicle models consisting of VF 5, VF e34, VF 6, VF 7, VF 8, and VF 9.

Driven by a long-term vision for sustainable transportation, VinFast has previously announced the construction of a local electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Indonesia with a projected capacity of 50,000 cars per year.
