East Jakarta Police Intensify Cipkon Operations, Prevent Illegal Racing And Brawl During Ramadan
East Jakarta Metro Police held a condition operation to anticipate disturbances in Kamtibmas.
This large-scale operation was carried out to minimize the rise of brawls, illegal racing and other street crimes that were quite disturbing to residents of East Jakarta and its surroundings.
East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly said that creating conditions is a policy of the Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Karyoto. The goal is to prevent other criminal acts and disturbances to Kamtibmas.
"The operation aims to provide a sense of security and comfort for the people of the East Jakarta area. The target is areas prone to brawls, illegal racing and street crimes," said Kombes Nicolas, Sunday, March 17.
Kombes Nicolas emphasized that the task of guarding Kamtibmas is the duty of all parties or stakeholders and not only the duty of the Police.
In the operation to create this condition, as many as 386 joint personnel from elements 4 (four) East Jakarta pillars were deployed in this police operation. All personnel wore vests and complete clothes and patrolled.
Not only did they check users of 2-wheeled and 4-wheeled vehicles, but the police also conducted sweeps of places prone to brawls by residents and illegal racing.
"We must anticipate behavior that deviates from teenagers in the holy month of Ramadan so that there is no brawl, especially during sahur and illegal racing after taraweh prayers and before dawn," he said.

Kombes Nicolas reminded all personnel to secure this operation to always maintain safety and health on duty.
His party also said that they would carry out firecrackers, liquor in the East Jakarta area.
