OIKN emphasized that it would not displace the houses of residents around the Nusantara City area which were built in parts of North Penajam Paser Regency and Kutai Kartanegara, East Kalimantan Province.

"Everything is in accordance with the laws and rights of the people protected, so there are no residents whose houses are evicted around the Nusantara City area," said Deputy for Social Culture and Community Empowerment of OIKN Alimuddin in Penajam, quoted from ANTARA, Saturday, March 16.

The affirmation was conveyed regarding the OIKN letter which was given to about 300 residents of Pelamuran Village, Bumi Harapan Village, Bukit Raya Village, and Sukaraja Village in Sepaku District, North Penajam Paser Regency, which is part of the Nusantara City area.

The contents of the letter stated that based on the results of the identification of a joint team for controlling unlicensed buildings, hundreds of houses were not in accordance with the spatial planning plan regulated in the spatial details plan (RDTR) for the planning area of the new capital city of Indonesia so that the demolition was carried out.

Alimuddin said the letter had been withdrawn and considered dead. When there is land for residents used for the construction of the City of Nusantara, money or land will be replaced, settlements will be re-located, share ownership, and other forms.

Sepaku sub-district head Gamaliel Abimanyu Arliandito confirmed that OIKN had withdrawn and considered the letter submitted to hundreds of residents regarding the demolition of unlicensed buildings and did not comply with spatial provisions.

"At the time of the meeting, all residents who received the letter were invited and OIKN withdrew the letter," he said.

The kelurahan and village parties whose citizens received a letter from OIKN asked for an official letter stating that the OIKN letter had been withdrawn and declared dead.

"The OIKN letter has been withdrawn, but we asked for an official clarification letter from OIKN stating that the letter had been withdrawn and considered dropped as evidence to residents so that there would be no turmoil," said Lurah Pemaluran Ari Rahayu.
