TEMINABUAN - The state electricity company (PLN) of the Teminabuan procurement service unit (ULP), South Sorong (South Sorong), Southwest Papua, will conduct a trial of a new machine that has a magnitude of 3 mega watts. For this, PLN will carry out a complete blackout in Maybrat and Sorsel Regencies for one hour.

Head of PLN ULP Teminabuan, Frengky Michael Miirino, in Teminabuan, Saturday, said the outage was carried out for a trial of a new engine by connecting with the PLN network.

"We plan to maintain networks and equipment, thus requiring a complete blackout of customers in order to increase reliability and maintain the continuity of electricity supply," Michael said, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, March 16.

The blackout will take place on Saturday, March 16, 2024, from 19.00 WIT and the plan is to extinguish the fire for approximately an hour.

"We hope that the public can understand and understand the existence of the blackout," said Michael.

The trial was carried out to find out what obstacles were found before operating regularly the new engine.

"Our commitment is that during the fasting period of 1445 Hijri to Eid al-Fitr there will be no rotating blackouts, so it is necessary to test a new engine," concluded Michael.
