Mitsubishi Introduces PHEV GSR Outlander, Here's The Difference

JAKARTA - The name 'GSR' is often identified with sports-style cars from Mitsubishi, such as Lancer Evo. Even though this model has been stopped production, its name is still present in several models, including Pajero Sport and Triton.

Recently, the manufacturer added to its collection with PHEV Outlanders wearing this iconic badge, specifically for the Australian market. This SUV features a sportier look than its standard version.

According to a report from TopGear Philippines on Wednesday, March 13, the model is considered the top variant of the series. The difference with the standard version lies in the presence of a shiny black chromo accent.

The front is equipped with a grip which also has a similar touch of color. The black details were also found on the side rear rearview mirror cap, rims, spoiler tailgates, and roofs.

On the inside, there are silver contrasted stitches that can be seen on the dashboard, door trim, and seat. In addition, black accents on dental and headliner voters give an elegant impression.

In addition to the updated appearance, the PHEV Outlander is also equipped with the latest infotainment system, 10 Bose speaker audio system, auto-regular seats, various comfort features, and complete functions of the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).

Despite changes to the outside and interior, this type still uses a standard engine, namely a 2.4 liter MIVEC paired with a double electric motor, generating up to 248 dk of power and torque up to 450 Nm.

Like any other model, the PHEV Outlander is equipped with a Super-All Wheel Control (S-AWC) system that allows it to drive smoothly on various terrains. With plug-in hybrid technology, this vehicle can run using pure electric power with a range of up to 84 km.
