PKS Sindir Gerindra Who Wants To Carry Jokowi's Son-in-law: Should File His Own Cadre

JAKARTA - The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) responded to the intention of the Gerindra Party which reportedly wanted to carry President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) son-in-law to become a candidate for Sleman Regent, Yogyakarta.

The chairman of the PKS DPP, Mardani Ali Sera admitted that there was no problem if Gerindra wanted to carry Erina Gudono. However, he satirized Gerindra by questioning the fate of his party cadres in Sleman. Because he should, he said, Gerindra proposed his own cadres.

"Just go, even if political parties become records because they should apply for their own cadres," said Mardani, Monday, March 11.

However, Mardani admitted that until now he had not heard an official statement from Erina about to run as Regent of Sleman. He said, the news was just a suggestion.

"There has been no official statement yet. If I'm not mistaken, it was proposed by one of the political parties or mass organizations," said Mardani.

When asked whether PKS was interested in supporting Erina running for the 2024 Sleman Pilkada, Mardani emphasized that his party would not propose to the wife of the PSI General Chair. "The lack of possibility," he replied.

Previously, the chairman of the Gerindra Sleman Party DPC, HR Sukaptana admitted that his party was working on several names that were considered to have the opportunity to be carried in the 2024 Sleman Pilkada.

Apart from internal parties, there is also a name from outside Gerindra. One of them is Erina S. Gudono who is the wife of PSI Chairman Kaesang Pangarep.

"Here, mas, the story is that there are discourses, especially internal parties that were submitted and then looked at others, whether later the survey will enter or not. (Erina?) Yes, come in," said Sukaptana, Saturday, March 9.
