Pilot And Batik Pilots Sleep On Plane, Here Are The Results Of The KNKT Investigation

JAKARTA - The National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT) released the results of the investigation of the Airbus A320 aircraft with registration number PK-LUV operated by Batik Air airline as a scheduled passenger flight from Soekarno-Hatta Airport to Halu Oleo Kendari Airport on a round trip.

The KNKT report also mentions that the pilot's rest time before carrying out flight duties on January 25, 2024 is 35 hours.

On January 25, 2024 at around 00.45 WIB, the pilot left for the airport by driving a car. At 01.39 WIB, he registered at the flight operations office and underwent a health check carried out by a nurse provided by the company.

The pilot's health results, namely normal PIC blood pressure and heart rate and negative alcohol tests and then deemed feasible for flight assignments. it prepares flights with other crew members.

Meanwhile, the 28-year-old co-pilot who has a commercial pilot license (CPL) is still valid and meets the requirements as an Airbus A320 pilot.
