Today The Ministry Of Religion Holds The Early Ramadan Isbat Session

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Religion will hold an Isbat Session for the Determination of the Beginning of Ramadan 1445 H, today on March 10, 2024. The Isbat Session will be held at the HM Rasjidi Auditorium of the Ministry of Religion, Jalan MH Thamrin, Central Jakarta.

Director General of Islamic Community Guidance (Dirjen Bimas Islam) Kamaruddin Amin said this activity would be held in a hybrid, online and offline manner.

"This Isbat trial is one of the religious services for the community to get certainty regarding the implementation of worship," said Kamaruddin Amin as quoted from the Ministry of Religion website, Sunday, March 10.

Director of Islamic Religious Affairs and Sharia Development (Urais Binsyar) of the Ministry of Religion, Adib added, the Isbat Session will involve the Hisab and Rukyat Teams of the Ministry of Religion, and attended by ambassadors of friendly countries and representatives of Islamic organizations.

This trial will also involve representatives of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), and other invitations.

"We also invite the leaders of MUI and Commission VIII of the DPR RI to attend the trial," he said.

Adib explained, the Isbat Session will be divided into three stages. First, the presentation of the position of the initial hilal of Ramadan 1445 H based on the results of the reckoning. The Hisab Team and the Ministry of Religion's Rukyat starts at 17.00 WIB.

"This session is open to the public and will be broadcast live on the Bimas Islam Youtube Channel," said Adib.

Second, the Isbat Session for the Determination of the Beginning of Ramadan 1445 Hijri which was held behind closed doors after the Maghrib prayer. In addition to hisab data (information), the isbat trial will also refer to the results of rukyatullilal (confirmation) carried out by the Ministry of Religion team in 134 locations throughout Indonesia.

"The third stage, a press conference on the results of the isbat trial which was also broadcast through the Ministry of Religion's social media," he concluded.
