Print Quality Human Resources, Indonesia-Korea Strengthen Cooperation
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Ministry of Industry strengthens cooperation with South Korea to improve the quality of industrial human resources (HR), and produce professional workers.
Head of the Industrial Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDMI) of the Ministry of Industry Masrokhan stated that strengthening bilateral cooperation is one of the priorities in the implementation of the Making Indonesia 4.0 program, as well as the use of Indonesia's demographic bonuses.
"To prepare a demographic bonus with the development of human resources in the current digital era, the productive age group must be equipped with skills in order to be able to develop self-potential when directly involved in the world of the work industry," said Masrokham, Sunday, March 10.
He said that one of the collaborations that had been established was what was carried out by the Petrochemical Industrial Polytechnic Banten (PIPB) together with PT Krakatau Posco, with the Korea National Ppuri Industry Center.
The Petrochemical Industry Polytechnic Banten, PT Krakatau Posco, and the Korea National Ppuri Industry Center signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on March 4, 2024, as a form of commitment from these parties to foster skilled workers in the technology sector.
He said the comprehensive collaboration would be realized through several aspects of cooperation, including vocational education, program development, infrastructure improvement, and industrial partnerships.

This collaboration also aims to empower the leaders of the younger generation, as well as strengthen relations between the two countries.
He said the MoU refers to the cooperation agreement previously carried out by BPSDMI and the Korea National Ppuri Industrial Center regarding the Ppuri technology cooperation signed in Jakarta on September 7, 2023, as well as a continuation of the BPSDMI MoU, and PT Krakatau Posco on cooperation in providing human resources for the metal sector, which was signed in Jakarta on August 29, 2023.
