A Family In Palabuhanratu Hit By A Roof Of A Collapsed House, 2 Toddlers Treated

SUKABUMI - A family of four in Palabuhanratu District, Sukabumi Regency, West Java had to be rushed to the hospital due to a collapsing roof.

"Two of the four victims are still under five and are currently undergoing treatment at the Palabuhanratu Hospital," said a member of the Sukabumi Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Kusmawan, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, March 8.

According to information compiled from BPBD, the collapse of the house in Cipalang Village, RT 03/08, Citepus Village was caused by a large tree.

This incident began when a family of seven people held an upload or celebrate the arrival of the Holy Month of Ramadan 1445 H by holding a meal together.

Suddenly heavy rain accompanied by strong winds caused a large tree to fall and hit the house that was holding the upload event.

As a result of the incident, four of the seven occupants of the house were injured and had to be rushed to the hospital, while the other three only suffered minor injuries.

The four victims were identified as Dewi (50) and Hendi (50) who suffered injuries to the head. While the other two are toddlers aged one and four years.

Not only injured, the impact of this disaster also damaged a motorcycle and one family had to flee to a safer place.

Disaster management officers together with the Palabuhanratu District Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimcam) and residents have cleaned up damaged building debris.
