Suzuki APV No Update Yet, SIS: This Car Is For Fleet Market
JAKARTA - At the GIICOMVEC 2024 event, PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales, as the sole agent of the Suzuki brand holder (ATPM) in Indonesia presented six units of New Carry and APV with various business designations, ranging from culinary businesses, logistics, public transportation, to health services.
It is known, in 2023, based on New Carry's sales data, it became the best-selling light commercial vehicle with a market share of 50 percent in Indonesia.
The New Carry Pick Up has been launched April 25, 2019, but the APV is different from Carry, so far it has not received a refresher or is being presented again in a new state.
The APV itself is generally used in various activities such as used for ambulances, transportation, and others.
How did Suzuki respond to this?
Donny Saputra, as the 4W Deputy Managing Director of PT SIS, said that the current APV is more focused on the fleet segment that prioritizes the specification side, not about design or features.
"For now, the APV is retail less than 10 percent in total of Suzuki's sales and is only intended for special use or Fleet," Donny said during a media interview, Thursday, March 7.
