Apriyani Rahayu Has Been Released From Trauma Injury

JAKARTA The women's doubles specialist, Apriyani Rahayu, has begun to be released from injury trauma after playing two matches at the French Open 2024 this week.

Apri was previously teased by an injury towards the end of last season. This problem prevented him from performing optimally due to trauma and absence from several tournaments.

Apri said that at this time he had been released from trauma, which made him sometimes scared when competing in several tournaments.

"Sebagai hasil memang belum mendapatkan yang terbaik. Namun, saya senang karena saya (sudah) bisa melepas trauma cedera yang kemarin," ujar dia.

"I am grateful that in these two matches the air of the match has started again and my courage can appear," he said.

Apriyani/Fadia had to lift the suitcase from the second round of the French Open 2024 after losing three games against the Chinese pair, Li Wen Mei/Liu Xuan Xuan.

This result is revenge from Li/Liu. When they met Apri/Fadia at the Hong Kong Open 2023, they lost two straight games.

"We got carried away by their pattern of play in the first game. In the second game, we tried to change that and it worked."

"Unfortunately, in the third game we were less consistent as in the second game. In fact, we came back again like the first game. We already know, but we are not ready to anticipate it. It was our fault today," said Apri.

Meanwhile, Fadia admitted that they had not found the best form after missing several tournaments due to Apriyani's injury.

"However, here we have started to find the rhythm of our game. Hopefully in All England 2024 next week we will be better prepared," he said.

Indonesia currently only has two representatives at the French Open 2024. The two representatives are Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo and the men's doubles Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto.
