President Director Of PT LIB Asks Supporters To Be Patient About Persib Vs Persija Spectator Status

JAKARTA - President Director of PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB), Ferry Paulus, gave a response regarding the status of spectators in the Persib Bandung vs Persija Jakarta match.

Ferry Paulus actually had hoped that this match could be held with the presence of the audience. However, it is not clear the status of the match, he asked the supporters to be patient waiting for the results without making assumptions.

"Yes, we are waiting for the decision. There is no need to make assumptions," said Ferry Paulus when met at Manahan Stadium, Solo, on Thursday, March 7, 2024.

Previously, it was known that the Persib vs Persija match at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium on Saturday, March 9, 2024, was scheduled to take place without spectators.

The prohibition is a punishment that must be accepted by Persib. The PSSI Disciplinary Commission (Komdis) sentenced him to a riot between supporters in the match against PSIS Semarang in February 2024.

However, the Persib Bandung opportunity to present spectators at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium is still open. The condition is that Maung Bandung must appeal to the PSSI Appeal Commission (Komding).

This step has been taken by Persib. The management has sent an appeal letter since Monday, March 3, 2024.

Regarding the results of the appeal that Persib sent to the PSSI Komding, in fact, to this day there has been no definite answer.

Ferry Paulus was reluctant to comment much. He did not want to give an answer beyond the decision that actually became the authority of the PSSI Komding. You see, there are a number of stages that must be passed.

"It means, yes, we don't know yet. The result is like what we are, it shouldn't exceed our authority. We'll just have to wait," he said.

"Indeed, the committee process (implementing committee) has several stages. It could be that the permit has been done, the ticketing preparation process has been, perhaps. However, we are just waiting for the results to be conveyed by PSSI Komding," said Ferry.
