2 People Died As A Result Of The Ambruk Flyover Project In Muara Enim

PALEMBANG - Two people died due to the collapse of a girder on the construction of the Bantaian flyover, the Gunung Megang - Penanggiran railway line was blocked, in Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra.

Acting Regent of Muara Enim Ahmad Rizali said the total number of victims in the incident was nine people. The two victims who died were workers from the project who were at the location.

"There were two people who died on behalf of Edi Saputra, a resident of Pegayut Village, Ogan Ilir (OI) Regency, South Sumatra, and Weston, a resident of Makassar, South Sulawesi, who died at 13.25 WIB. Weston's body is planned to be brought to Makassar," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, March 7.

He explained that the injured victims are currently being treated at AR Bunda Prabumulih Hospital, namely Mufaridin (37) who is known to live in Mess Bantaian, Tegar (23) and Edi (21) a resident of Lampung, and Budi (51) and M Hidayat (51) from Palembang.

Then, two other injured victims named Wahyudi (26) and M Fadil (34) are still being treated at the ER at Rabain Muara Enim Hospital.

"The five injured victims were referred to AR Bunda Prabumulih Hospital. Meanwhile, the other four victims, including those who died, were taken to Rabain Muara Enim Hospital," explained Rizali.
