Support Public Transportation Access, Cikarang Now Has A New Bus Route

JAKARTA - The new bus route was launched for residents in urban Cikarang area, Bekasi Regency, West Java. This is to facilitate public access to various locations as well as support government policies related to the use of public transportation modes.

The bus fleet's newest route connects Cikarang with a number of points starting from the City Bekasi light train station (LRT), Karawang, Blok M Jakarta, to BSD Serpong with the main bus stop in District 1 Meikarta.

"The goal is none other than to open the connectivity of Cikarang residents in Meikarta to various routes. For Meikarta, we will install four buses until the occupancy is fully good, we will add more," said Operations Manager Aoshuttle Fajar Novandi quoting Antara.

He said the four routes prepared were Meikarta-Grand Outlet Karawang, Meikarta-BSD Serpong, Meikarta-LRT City Bekasi, and Meikarta-Blok M. All routes are dispatched four times a day, except for Karawang destinations that depart twice a day. The entire route is set at one price of Rp. 30,000 for one trip with an online order. "All orders can be done online, but it can also be on the spot with a price difference of Rp. 5,000 or Rp. 35,000," he said.

Through the concept of Pul to Pul, bus departures are carried out routinely every hour. "There are 50, 30, and 14 seats. The system is shuttle per hour, it doesn't depend on the passenger, the passenger doesn't keep going," he said.

Meikarta President Director Indra Azwar said the four routes were chosen because the mobility of Cikarang residents to these areas was considered high so that transportation mode was facilitated. This route is opened to facilitate the connectivity of residents between regions.

"The main goal of this collaboration is solely to meet the transportation needs of residents, visitors, and employees. So far, it has become a problem that we need to fulfill. Bus stops in the 1st District of Meikarta are also possible to serve employees from companies, industrial areas, and the general public," he said.

His party has provided parking bags at every stop to make it easier for people to entrust private vehicles while at the same time providing comfort for users of this mode of transportation.

"So encourage people to use public transportation to minimize traffic jams in the DKI Jakarta area and its surroundings. As well as supporting facilities, including parking bags," he said.
