Staying On The Hannover Messe 2024, RI Targets To Get New Investments In IKN

JAKARTA - Indonesia will again participate in the Hannover Messe 2024 exhibition which will be held in Germany, on April 22-26.

Expert Staff to the Minister for Strengthening Domestic Industry Ability of the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) Ignatius Warsito said, if in 2023 Indonesia played a partner country or Partner Country Hannover Messe, in 2024 Indonesia only played a role as a participant.

Even so, Indonesia will continue to show off at the exhibition by bringing various co-exhibitors from various industrial companies in the country with an exhibition area of up to 100 square meters.

"Last year we brought 157 co-exhibitors with an area of approximately 3,200 square meters and now we are still in the process of being in the process of knowing how much we will bring," said Warsito at a press conference for Hannover Messe 2024 at the Ministry of Industry office, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 6.

"But, while there we want to show that Indonesia has prospects for developing technology based on digitalization to green energy," he continued.

Warsito said, although the coverage figure of this year's exhibition area is smaller than 2023, he believes there will be many investment targets to be obtained in Indonesia.

The government also targets that the existence of an industrial exhibition can increase the number of investments from various other countries to enter the development of the capital city of Nusantara (IKN).

The reason is, reflecting on the Hannover Messe 2023 event, there were as many as 97,000 visitors directly who saw the Indonesian exhibition at the event and managed to reap investment potential of up to IDR 37 trillion.

"That is certain and we continue to explore investment potentials for the continuation of IKN development because it has become our common commitment," said Warsito.

"We will also deepen global cooperation again because we believe we cannot do it alone and we need partners from all over the world to accelerate economic development, especially in the manufacturing sector," he added.
