Two of the perpetrators are known to be children of officials in the Gowa Regency Government, considering the evidence used by the perpetrator of a car belonging to a local government official vehicle that is now being secured by officers.

The rape case against a woman with the initials NM occurred in the early hours of Saturday (2/3/2024) on Jalan Mangga Daeng Bombong near Lake Mawang, Somba Opo District, Gowa.

Initially, the MYH alias UC perpetrator contacted the victim to take him for a walk and pick him up in Makassar City using his father's official vehicle, which is one of the Gowa Regency Government officials.

The main perpetrator of MYH from the start had planned his bad intentions by including two other perpetrators, namely MQ and MR in the car and telling him to hide in the back seat of the car.

After picking up the victim, unexpectedly on the night journey, the perpetrator suddenly stopped the vehicle at the scene of the case not far from residential areas.

The perpetrator then persuaded and forced the victim to serve his lecherous lust. The perpetrator and the victim are known to have had a love affair but ran aground. The perpetrator has two wives and is listed as a candidate for Legislative Member (Caleg) of the Gowa DPRD from the Perindo Party.

After venting his lust, the perpetrator pretended to get out of the car, suddenly two other perpetrators came out of his hiding place, arrested the victim about to do the same thing and then abused him, the victim then rebelled and screamed until his voice was heard by local residents.

Panicked, these three perpetrators were about to run away but residents quickly arrived at the scene of the incident detaining the perpetrators and then reporting the incident at the Gowa Police.

The police charged the main perpetrators of UC article 285 subsidiary 289 of the Criminal Code with a maximum threat of 12 years in prison. Meanwhile, the other two perpetrators who participated in the alleged harassment of the victim were subject to Article 289 of the Criminal Code, which carries nine years in prison.
