Deputy Speaker Of The House Of Representatives F-Gerindra Prefers To Respond To Rice Issues Instead Of Election Ticket Rights

JAKARTA - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives from the Gerindra Party faction, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, admitted that he preferred to respond to the issue of rising prices and scarcity of rice rather than the right to suspect fraud in the 2024 General Election which was echoed in today's opening plenary meeting.

According to Dasco, the issue of the right of inquiry has a mechanism in the DPR. So he chose to continue other discussions rather than struggling on the matter.

"In the interruption in the plenary session, we accommodate the aspirations of the members who are intrupted. We saw for example the right of inquiry, that's why we then continued with other things. The right of inquiry has a mechanism," said Dasco after a plenary meeting at the DPR, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, March 5.

"I was more responsive to problems, such as lack of rice. We immediately looked for a solution, and then discussed it with the government," he continued.

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives in the field of Corrections explained that there are requirements that must be met by those who apply for the right of inquiry. Then, submitted to the leadership of the DPR.

However, said Dasco, until the plenary session there was not a single faction that officially conveyed it to the leadership of the DPR regarding the application for the right of inquiry. Including, there was no discussion at the leadership meeting (rapim) because the DPR only tried today after the recess.

"Well, what do we want to say? Yes, the proposal doesn't exist," said Dasco.

"Giamana rapim built a meeting, the trial, came in, only today," added the daily chairman of Gerindra.
