KPU Affirms No PSI Voice Inflated
JAKARTA - Member of the General Election Commission (KPU) Idham Holik emphasized that there was no inflation of the number of votes of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI).
"There was no vote bubble," said Idham, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, March 4.
He explained that the inaccurate optical character recognition (OCR) or technology that extracts text from images in reading photos of the Model C1-Plano Form or records of vote count results for the 2024 General Election.
"Here the importance of active participation in accessing the Recapitulation Information System (Sirekap) to convey the occurrence of this inaccuracies," he said.
Idham also emphasized that Sirekap, which is a vote counting tool, is in accordance with the recommendations of the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) regarding the C.Hasil plano data that must be curated.
In addition, he emphasized that the official results of the votes acquired by the election participants were based on the recapitulation carried out in stages.

"Starting from the District Voter Committee (PPK), Regency/City KPU and provincial KPU and finally at the KPU RI level, national level recapitulation," said Idham explaining.
As for the mechanism for recapitulation of vote acquisition in PPK, it is carried out by opening a ballot box containing the C.Hasil plano form and reading it one by one.
The results of the reading carried out by one of the PPK members were then inputted using the form D. Hasil template file which was still empty. Then, the result form was sent via Sirekap.
"If there is a disturbance, then it is sent via email or cloud link," he said.
