Democracy Must Rise In Class, PKS Agrees With The Constitutional Court's Decision To Change The Threshold Of Parliament 4 Percent
JAKARTA - The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) agrees with the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) regarding the DPR threshold requirements or a parliamentary threshold (PT) of 4 percent must be changed before the 2029 election.
PKS agreed with the Constitutional Court regarding the argument for changing the threshold rules so that no people's voices were wasted. According to him, Indonesian democracy must advance to class.
"Agreeing with the Constitutional Court's decision, no votes should be wasted. Indonesian democracy must advance to class," said PKS DPP chairman Mardani Ali Sera, Monday, March 4.
However, this member of Commission II of the DPR said that his party encouraged the government and the DPR to simplify the political party (parpol) in line with the Constitutional Court's decision regarding the parliamentary threshold regulated by Law Number 7 of 2017. He emphasized that the Constitutional Court's decision was final and binding.
