4G BTS Corruption Case, Director Of PT MBS Sued 4 Years In Prison
JAKARTA - Director of PT Multimedia Berdikari Sejahtera (MBS) Windi Purnama was sentenced to 4 years in prison for money laundering (TPPU) in a corruption case in the provision of 4G base transceiver station (BTS) infrastructure and supporting infrastructure packages 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 BAKTI of the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo) 2020-2022.
"The defendant Windi Purnama was sentenced to 4 years in prison and was fully reduced by the length of time the defendant was detained with an order that the defendant should still be detained at the detention center," said the public prosecutor (JPU) at the Corruption Court (Tipikor), Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, March 4.
In addition, Windi Purnama was also required to pay a fine of Rp. 1 billion. With the provision that if it is not paid, it will be replaced with a sentence of 6 months in prison.
According to the prosecutor, it was proven legally and convincingly guilty of committing the crime of money laundering and violating Article 4 of Law Number 8 of 2010 concerning the Prevention and Eradication of Money Laundering.
"As the second subsidiary indictment," said the prosecutor.
In dropping the charges, the prosecutor considered the aggravating matter, namely the person concerned is believed to have been proven to enjoy the proceeds of a criminal act of US$3,000 and Rp700 million.
Meanwhile, mitigating things are that Windi Purnama has never been convicted, was polite during the trial, and was cooperative and uncomplicated.
"The defendant pleaded guilty and regretted his actions," continued the prosecutor.
In this case, Windi was charged with committing money laundering offenses together with the Commissioner of PT Solitech Media Sinergy Irwan Hermawan, former President Director of BAKTI Anang Achmad Latif, and former President Director of PT Mora Telematika Indonesia Galumbang Menak Simanjuntak.
The prosecutor explained Windi at the direction of Irwan Hermawan, Galumbang Menak Simanjuntak, and Anang Achmad Latif collected Rp243 billion from the commitment fee for the 4G BTS project.

"That the money received by the defendant Windi Purnama, then the defendant Windi Purnama transferred or transferred the money at the direction of Irwan Hermawan, Galumbang Menak Simanjuntak, and Anang Ahmad Latif," added the prosecutor at the trial at the Corruption Court, Jakarta, Thursday (16 November 2023).
In addition to disbursing money, Windi Purnama is also said to have received money. The details are IDR 200 million and 3,000 US dollars from Irwan Hermawan and IDR 500 million from Irwan Hermawan through the Director of PT Waradhana Yusa Abadi Steven Setiawan Sutrisna.
"Furthermore, the money received was to pay monthly house installments located at BSD South Tangerang, for daily needs and living expenses as long as the defendant lived in Manila, Philippines during February 2023 to May 2023," said the prosecutor.
