Follow Google Maps, Bajaj Enters The Jakarta-Tangerang Opposite Toll Road
JAKARTA The user of the Jakarta Tangerang Toll Road was surprised by the appearance of Bajaj crossing in the opposite direction. The incident was immortalized in a video that eventually went viral on social media.
Responding to the video, the Head of PJR Bitung Main, AKP Andy Pradana, confirmed the incident. He said the incident occurred on Sunday, March 3.
He explained the reason why the bajaj entered the toll road was because the driver followed the Google Maps. Without realizing it, the bajaj he was driving entered the toll road.
"There is no toll gate from Tomang. There is a red light going to Tangerang, there is no toll gate. He (the driver) followed the maps and didn't see the signs. Before Tomang, there were a lot, he didn't see what he said," Andy said in a short message, Monday, February 4.

As a result of the incident, the Bajaj driver, assisted by officers, was transferred to the right lane. After that, the person concerned was given warning action due to the incident.
"We took a warning," he said.
Andy also said that to prevent this from happening again, his party together with Jasa Marga will guard at points prone to two-wheeled vehicles to bajaj entering the toll road.
"We are on standby in coordination with patrols. Patrol security. We are on standby there during peak hours, with Jasa Marga patrols," he concluded.
