Moeldoko Says Prabowo's 4-star Rank Increase Doesn't Need To Be A Polemic
The Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko requested that the promotion of the four-star general of honor to Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto not continue to be a polemic because he has no interest or form of political transactions. "I think it is enough that it is no longer necessary to polemic because the gift has no interest in anything, no political transactions and so on," said Moeldoko when met by the media after Public Lecture Opportunities and Challenges of Youth Towards Indonesia Gold 2045 at the University of North Sumatra campus, Medan, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, March 1. Moeldoko explained that Minister of Defense Prabowo was honorably dismissed and received salary rights. He also received the Yudha Dharma Utama star award, which is the highest award in the military and given to outstanding people. "In yesterday's award, Mr. President is very clear, this is a form of appreciation from the state and affirmation to those concerned in giving service to the community, nation and state that is more devoted to service," he said. Previously, in the 2024 TNI Rapim at TNI Headquarters, Cilangkap, Jakarta on Wednesday (28/2), Prabowo Subianto received a special promotion from three-star retired general general to the four-star honorary general of Indonesian President Joko Widodo.
