Beastie Boys Documentary Prime Trailer Released
JAKARTA - Beastie Boys, a hip-hop group from New York will release its first documentary film titled Beastie Boys Story. Tilled by Her film director, Spike Jonze, the first trailer was released today, Thursday, March 12.
Through this trailer, the Beastie Boys show footage from Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz, Michael "Mike D" Diamond, and the late Adam "MCA" Yauch from starting their career to transitioning in 2019. In addition to old footage and footage of stage action, they also includes an interview session.
Interestingly, the snippets from this documentary were also shown at a large location where Ad-Rock and Mike D were both hosts and readers of the documentary's narrative. Because of that, Jonze put the word live in this documentary because there is a concept of a stage where fans come and watch.
The emotional side of the trailer is shown when they feature footage with Adam Yauch who died in 2012. The documentary shows Mike D and Ad-Rock talking about Yauch's important role in Beastie Boys.
"Yauch, Mike and I spend more time with each other than our own families," said Ad-Rock, who sat on stage.

The trailer's narrative is accompanied by the song I Don't Know from the 1998 album Hello Nasty. Beastie Boys will tell the band's original concept and the stories behind their careers.
As a director, Spike Jonze also launched the picture book Beastie Boys, which became his debut in the world of photography. A total of 256 pages will feature photos taken when the Beastie Boys made their music right up to their performance on stage. The picture book concept will be "candid, unexpected, behind the scenes, and real."
Beastie Boys Story was originally scheduled to premiere on South by Southwest (SXSW) but the show was canceled due to the outbreak of the coronavirus. The Beastie Boys also canceled their appearance at the event. The documentary will be released at IMAX on April 3 before officially releasing to Apple TV + on April 24.
