Criticized By Ibrahimovic For Political Interference, Basketball Player LeBron James: I Will Not Shut Up
JAKARTA - Los Angeles Lakers player LeBron James does not care despite being insinuated by AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. According to LeBron James, he will not remain silent in criticizing social problems.
Ibrahimovic said in an interview on Thursday, February 25, that sportsmen like James should avoid making the mistake of getting into political issues. James, on the other hand, focused solely on sports.
"I will never shut up about the wrong things. I preach about my people and I preach about equality, social justice, racism, voter oppression, or things that happen in our community," James told reporters after The Lakers won 102-93 against the Portland Trail Blazers.
LeBron James is one of the leading basketball players and has won the NBA 4 times.
"I will use my stage to continue explaining everything that is happening in this country and around the world. There is no way I can just stick to sports because I understand how powerful this stage and my voice are."

James also pointed to comments made by Ibrahimovic in 2018 when the Swedish striker claimed "undercover racism" had caused the media to treat him differently from players with traditional surnames such as Andersson or Svensson.
"He's a guy who says in Sweden he's talking about the same thing because his last name is not a (traditional Swedish) last name, he feels there's racism going on," said James.
"I'm speaking from a very educated mind. I'm the wrong kind of person to talk to because I do my homework."
