EDGE2, Data Center With A Capacity Of 23 Megawatts Ready To Support AI Development In Indonesia

JAKARTA - PT Ekagrata Data Gemilang (EDGE DC), a leading data center provider in Indonesia, officially launched its second facility in downtown Jakarta, known as EDGE2 on Wednesday, February 28.

Located in South Jakarta, the construction of EDGE2 is a form of commitment from EDGE DC, a subsidiary of PT Indointernet Tbk (Indonet) in supporting sustainable and efficient digital infrastructure in Indonesia.

Unlike EDGE1, which was first launched in 2021 with a capacity of 6 Megawatts (MW), EDGE2 is the largest data center in this metropolitan with a total IT Load of 23 MW and more than 3,400 racks.

EDGE2 is also equipped with advanced technology to meet the increasing needs of hyperscale and Artificial Intelligence (AI), and is designed to set new standards in connectivity and sustainability in data centers.

This sophisticated facility is designed to provide a very reliable and safe IT infrastructure to meet the increasing demand from hyperscalers, global technology companies, and various digital companies in Indonesia.

EDGE2 will offer PLN Platinum Dual Power Source with industry-leading uptime guarantees, thereby ensuring business continuity for customers.

Not only that, in line with the company's ESG commitment, EDGE2 also combines strong data center capacity with environmentally friendly features including renewable energy solutions and environmentally friendly building features that are suitable for achieving LEED Gold Certification.
