Expand Market Segment, VinFast Will Present A Suzuki Jimny-like Car In India

VinFast, a car manufacturer from Vietnam, is one of the new players in the global automotive industry. However, this manufacturer dares to make breakthroughs to expand the market in various countries, one of which is India.

Reported by Autocar India, Wednesday, February 28, it was reported that Vin Fas had filed a design patent for the VF 3 model for the Indian market. It is known that VF 3 made its global debut at the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, USA, last January.

Unfortunately, VinFast has not confirmed the news regarding the design patent application. However, the presence of this small-bodied SUV will be welcomed by consumers in India considering that the small-dimensional vehicle market is quite busy.

At first glance, VinFast VF 3 features a design similar to Suzuki Jimny, with a sturdy geometric block and a slimmer line, as well as a high ground clearance and a 16-inch rim. Thus, this SUV gives the strong impression of facing various terrains.

Referred to as mini-eSUV, VF 3 has dimension length of 3,213 mm, width of 1,678 mm, and height of 1,620 mm. VinFast stated that this dimension is quite proportional to urban mobility.

Although compact, the VF 3 interior can accommodate five people with a spacious interior space. The interior is equipped with a sophisticated 10-inch infotainment system that is integrated with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

This car also has a large load capacity to store a lot of items. By folding the second row seat, the rear cargo space can accommodate up to 550 liters. Although details of the specifications have not been disclosed, the manufacturer revealed that this model will have a range of 201 km when the battery is fully charged.

This year, VinFast will begin receiving preliminary reservations for VF 3. Details of reservation times, vehicle deliveries, prices, and guarantee policies will be announced following for each market.
