Bawaslu: One Of The Ex-PPLN Kuala Lumpur Violates The Crime
Chairman of the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) Rahmat Bagja said one of the seven former members of the Kuala Lumpur Foreign Election Committee (PPLN), Malaysia, committed a criminal offense.
"Ada masuk pelanggaran pidana kepada salah satu PPLN, kemudian yang bersangkutan hilang. Tanya kepada KBRI (Kedutaan Besar Republik Indonesia). Mereka tahu pelanggaran siapa yang dimaksud ini," kata Bagja dikutip ANTARA, Senin, 26 Februu.
However, Bagja emphasized that the former PPLN Kuala Lumpur did not violate election crimes, but other general crimes.
"Don't let it be said that there is no state loss, even though there is a loss. It has been paid up, he said. I don't understand what it is. Ask the KPU (General Election Commission)," he said.
Bagja lantas menjelaskan mantan PPLN tersebut telah mengundurkan diri. Akan tetapi, yang bersangkutan belum mendapatkan hukuman.
"It should be punished, not resigned. If you resign, the person concerned can register again as PPLN, KPU here, or become Bawaslu here. It's also dangerous," said Bagja.
In addition, Bagja said the election process in Kuala Lumpur included violating the administration because it was not in accordance with the provisions of Article 81 paragraph (3) of the KPU Regulation (PKPU) Number 25 of 2023 concerning Voting and Counting in General Elections.

The article regulates the re-voting at the polling station (TPS) to be held no later than 10 days after voting day or February 24, 2024.
"Yes, that's why it includes later administrative violations by PPLN. 'I've mentioned that. PPLN friends have to be responsible here," he said.
Meanwhile, KPU Chairman Hasyim Asy'ari said that his party had temporarily disabled or temporarily suspended seven members of PPLN Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Hasyim explained that the deactivation was related to problems in collecting voter data which resulted in the re-voting of the method of postal and mobile ballot boxes (KSK) having to be repeated.
"We have temporarily disabled or suspended seven PPLN members because there are problems in election management in Kuala Lumpur," said Hasyim at the Indonesian KPU Office, Jakarta, Monday.
