Fiat Face-to-face Future Of Sustainable Mobility By Presenting Panda Concept
JAKARTA - Fiat, the Italian automotive manufacturer who is a member of the Stellantis group, has just revealed the concept of Panda's future car, becoming the single global platform of all the models to be released.
The first product of this concept will be launched in July, followed by the launch of new vehicles every year until 2027.
This new set of models is designed to conquer roads around the world and complement the ranks of Fiat products. Well, thanks to joining Stellantis, Fiat has access to a new global platform, where they can add a touch of typical Italian creativity: recipes that combine beauty and simple solutions.
The new global campaign was announced through a video featuring Olivier Francois, CEO of FIAT and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Global Stellantis.
The video features the upcoming launch using a cheerful Panda: a model that has played a major role in how to experience the automotive world for more than 40 years. This symbol of Italian creativity is an inspiration for this new family of concepts.
FIAT is a global brand with 1.3 million cars sold last year and strong leadership in many parts of the world. We are in global play and the next step is to move from local products to global offerings that can benefit all of our customers anywhere in the world. Olivier Francois, said in a company release quoted on February 27.
He added that the company's first future car will be presented in 4 months.
The car also marks the celebration of the 125th anniversary of the brand. This car will then be followed by 1 new model every year," he added.
Each new car to be released is said to share the same philosophy as the same technology and a single global platform where the new model allows the model to be produced anywhere in the world and reach customers anywhere.
For its development, Fiat will take all existing or multi-energy platforms with all types of powertrain (electric, hybrid, and internal combustion engines). Furthermore, this new family of models will display efficient use of space along with sustainable materials. Each new model will be a unique and original interpretation of the inclusive spirit, easy to access, and allow brands to create vehicles with modular interiors, a unique appearance, and a brave personality.
FIAT takes the challenge of producing more sustainable and affordable cars with a "less is more" approach, which removes unnecessary parts and reduces polluting materials such as chromes, alloys, skin, and foam on chairs.

City Car
The first concept in the video is the new City Car. Bigger than the current Panda, who is arguably the "Mega-Panda", the design is also inspired by the brand's birthplace: the iconic Lingotto building in Turin with the famous roof test track.
Fiat designers are said to be inspired by some of Lingotto's special features when creating a light new design language, space optimization, and filled with bright colors. Meanwhile, the oval shape of the "La Pista 500" track on the roof leaves its mark on some aspects of the new model interior from dashboards to views and chairs.
In addition, FIAT provides a special emphasis on the use of sustainable materials, including recycled plastic and bamboo cloth. The brand also aims to remove some barriers to more sustainable mobility, including making charging and releasing easier with "self-rolling cables".
The high driving position and a solid design make this city car the perfect friend for customers around the world, especially in dense urban environments. However, at the same time, this car offers coconut and usability for weekend trips and family vacations.
Pickup
The second concept that appears in the video is a pickup with an attractive design. It is known, Fiat is a market leader in South America and the Strada pickup is the best-selling vehicle in the Brazilian market.
Going forward, FIAT believes this type of vehicle can mimic its success at the global level, even in Europe. FIAT's new pickup concept really brings pleasure in functionality and responds to what customers want.
This vehicle combines the concept of pickup with the functionality and convenience of SUV-style pickups in sizes that match urban environments around the world.
