The Provincial Government Proposes 3 Names Of National Heroes From West Kalimantan To Jokowi, Including Prince Nata Kusuma

The West Kalimantan (West Kalimantan) Provincial Government (Pemprov) proposed three names of fighters from West Kalimantan to President Joko Widodo as national heroes.

"To propose the names of three fighters from West Kalimantan as national heroes, we will hold the Seminar for the National Hero Candidate for West Kalimantan Province in 2024. This seminar is also to develop the value of heroism and is also one of the conditions to nominate the fighters to become national heroes," said Acting Secretary of West Kalimantan Muhammad Bari in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, Monday 26 February, confiscated by Antara.

The names of the candidates for the fighters who were released/proposed to become national heroes were Rahadi Usman, Prince Nata Kusuma and Bardan Nadi.

"This is an effort by the West Kalimantan Provincial Government to propose fighters from West Kalimantan to be designated as national heroes. Previously we (the West Kalimantan Provincial Government) succeeded in proposing dr. Raden Rubini Natawisastra as a National Hero," he said.

He hopes that the three names of the fighters proposed by the West Kalimantan Provincial Government can be declared national heroes by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Jokowi.

"So there are three names of fighters that we hope to become national heroes, hopefully one of them can be determined or maybe even the three names can be designated as national heroes," he said.

He added that in proposing three names of fighters from West Kalimantan, complete data had been collected through the Assistant for Government and People's Welfare of the West Kalimantan Regional Secretary.

"For the data to be complete, hopefully there will be no obstacles and we hope this will run smoothly," he said.

Through this Seminar, the younger generation of West Kalimantan must be proud that West Kalimantan has a national hero and is expected to be a motivation for the younger generation.

"We hope that there will be many national heroes from West Kalimantan who we remember through awards, street names and building names. This is a motivation for the next generation," he said.
