JAKARTA - Candidate for vice president (cawapres) number 3, Mahfud MD emphasized that he did not want to make assumptions about his attitude after the 2024 presidential election.
This attitude, whether later to join the new government to win the 2024 presidential election or be outside the new government. According to Mahfud, the vote count for the 2024 presidential election is still ongoing and there have been no results.
"Don't assume, there is no calculation yet, it's not finished yet," said Mahfud at his residence, Jalan Taman Patra XII, Kuningan, South Jakarta, Thursday, February 22.
Mahfud said that he and presidential candidate number 3, Ganjar Pranowo and the winning team still followed thoroughly the calculation and recapitulation of the votes acquired by the 2024 presidential election.
He also did not want to think too far. Even so, he still plays a role in improving this nation and state.
"We don't want to think too far, the important thing is that we all play a role in improving this country," said Mahfud MD.
Based on the results of the 2024 presidential election real count, Sirekap of the General Election Commission (KPU) Friday, February 23 at 7.00 WIB, that the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 2 Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka dominated the presidential election votes with a total of 64,763,728 votes or 58.91 percent.
Then, second place is the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 1, Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar with 26,480,088 or 24.09 percent of the votes.
