Aiman Witjaksono Brings 3 Evidences At The Pretrial Session Against Polda Metro
JAKARTA - The legal team Aiman Witjaksono will submit three pieces of evidence in the follow-up trial of the pretrial regarding whether or not the confiscation carried out by the Polda Metro Jaya was legal in handling the case of alleged spreading false news 'not neutral police'.
The pretrial continued trial was held at the South Jakarta District Court, today.
"We brought documentary evidence, there are 3 written evidences," said Head of the Legal Counsel Team Aiman Witjaksono, Finsensius Mendrofa to reporters, Thursday, February 22.
The three pieces of evidence explain the status of Aiman, who is still a journalist when conveying allegations of non-neutral police in the 2024 Umun Election (Pemilu).
Then, there is also evidence regarding the confiscation permit which is considered a procedural defect. This is because it was not signed directly by the Head of the South Jakarta District Court.
"Prove first, that Adr Aiman is a journalist, then evidence that explains that there is a court stipulation permit signed by the deputy chairman of the court, there is evidence that it is true that the investigator or the Respondent has confiscated the 4 barbuks that were signed," he said.
In addition, at the pretrial hearing, Aiman's camp will present two experts. They will explain the illegal confiscation process.
'First, experts in the field of criminal procedural law, the two experts in the field of press law. Both are present and ready to give opinions regarding cases that we are currently pretrialing," said Finsensius.

At the previous trial, Polda Metro Jaya said that the investigators had confiscated four pieces of evidence belonging to Aiman Witjaksono in accordance with the legislation.
This is because investigators have asked for a confiscation permit from the South Jakarta District Court for evidence in the form of a cell phone, but after going through a series of examinations it was deemed necessary to confiscate IG, SIM card, and also Aiman's email account.
"We have explained that there is an urgent situation, in the sense that we already know that there is other evidence in the evidence that we have previously confiscated," said the Head of Legal Affairs of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Leonardus Simamarta.
