Makassar KPU Ready To Hold Re-voting At 10 TPS Saturday Weekend
The General Election Commission of Makassar City, South Sulawesi, stated that it is ready to hold a re-voting or PSU for the 2024 General Election at 10 polling stations on Saturday, February 24.
"The implementation of this PSU is ready, although there are some that are still lacking, such as the plano that we add. We add that shortage and the print process now. At the latest Friday (23/3), the sorting and packaging have been immediately included in the preparations for Saturday," said Makassar KPU member Muh Andi Goncing as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 21.
He ensured that a number of obstacles and problems with logistical delays at polling stations that occurred on voting day on February 14, 2024 would not be repeated.
Andi added that there were no more exchanged ballots, including logistics that were lacking during the PSU, and ensured that the PSU was running according to applicable regulations.
"We want to make sure of this then. We will schedule a coordination meeting for the preparation of the PSU today. For KPPS officers it remains the same, except for officers who state that they have resigned and are unable, we will look for a replacement based on technical instructions," he asserted.
For the implementation of the PSU, according to normal time, the same as the voting on February 14, starting at 07.00 to 13.00 WITA and the location of the TPS according to the previous polling station location, there were no changes.
"We convey to the entire community on February 24 that we will hold a PSU in Makassar. We appeal to all people whose names are registered as voters, be it DPT or DPTb to return to the TPS to channel their voices. We guarantee that all logistics will be fulfilled," he appealed.
Regarding the ballots prepared at the PSU, Andi explained that there were only two types, namely the presidential and vice presidential election letters and the Regional Representative Council (DPD) ballots.
"For this PSU, all of them are in 10 polling stations and there are two polling stations for the DPD election. For the DPD, it is in Buakana Village and in Berua Village," said Abdi as the Public Relations Coordinator and Datin of the Makassar KPU.
