Hundreds Of Residents Of Ketare Village With Sajam Failed To Attack Anyar Village Were Shot By Flashball Polda NTB

"We, assisted by BKO personnel from the NTB Police Mobile Brigade Unit, managed to push back the masses from Ketare Village who wanted to attack All Others Village," said Loteng Police Chief AKBP Iwan Hidayat, SIK after dispersing the crowd in Praya, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Tuesday, February 20, which was confiscated by Antara.
He said at around 10:00 WITA, hundreds of residents of Ketare Village used sharp weapons to gather on the BIL-Mandalika Bypass road to carry out the attack. The mob was then successfully cleared by police barricades who had been on guard at the border of the two villages involved in the clashes.
"We took decisive, measured steps in addition to negotiations with warning shots and flashball shots to disperse the concentration of the crowd," he said.
The attack that will be carried out by residents of Ketare Village today was triggered by the clashes between the two previous villages on Wednesday, February 7. As a result, a resident of Ketare Village died.
Iwan asked the public to exercise restraint and fully hand over the case to the police.
"I ask my brother, the people of Ketare Village, not to be provoked, leave it to us as law enforcement officers, give us time to resolve this case," he said.

Iwan conveyed that the people of Central Lombok Regency, especially the people of Ketare Village, should stop the action.
"It's a pity for our community as a result of this incident, many people are disturbed by their daily activities, people cannot farm in this area because of fear and also our children who are still in school are traumatized by this incident," he said.
The current situation at the location is conducive, because the period has disbanded and returned to their respective homes. Joint TNI-Polri personnel are still on standby at the location to prevent further attacks.
