3 Officials get Infected With COVID-19, Central Jakarta Mayor Office Is Closed

JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta City Government closed the Central Jakarta Mayor's office after three officials were found with COVID-19.

The closure will be carried out for three days, starting today until Monday, March 1, 2021. Temporary closure in three workspaces spread across the third and sixth floors of Block A.

"There are three officials who have been confirmed positive for COVID-19", said Central Jakarta Mayor Dhany Sukma in his statement, Friday, February 26.

This follows the Regulation of the Governor of DKI Number 3 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Regional Regulation Number 2 of 2020 concerning Handling COVID-19.

In Article 11, it is stated that if a COVID-19 transmission cluster occurs, the building manager will close one office area for 3x24 hours.

"During the closure, the Central Jakarta Mayor's office was sprayed with disinfectant liquid," said Dhany.

Currently, said Dhany, all employees and Other Individual Service Providers (PJLP) in charge of Governance and Law are undergoing medical examinations by the COVID-19 team at Gambir Public Health Center.

"The process of contact tracing or tracing of employees who are in close contact has also been carried out", he said.

Dhany asked all ASN and PJLP on duty in the Central Jakarta City Government to always wear masks, keep their distance, avoid crowds, wash their hands regularly and maintain body immunity.

"Never ignore health protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic", he concluded.
